Double Denim

Some call it a fashion faux par, some call it cool (when done well). I personally am a great fan of double denim. Taking fashion flashbacks to the 90s is big this season and what better way to pay homage to those glory days then dabbling in double denim!

There are a few tricks to keep in mind:

COLOUR: This can be the trickiest part of pairing denim. I think mid coloured blues mix best. It doesn't even need to be a true denim- it can be a textured blue shirt mixed with blue jeans! The point is here, you don't want the colours to be too contrasted against each other.

PATTERN: Keeping the denim pieces simple is key. You don't want too much going on with tears, distressed denim or washes. If you have a washed pair of jeans, wear it with a solid coloured jacket.

REST OF THE OUTFIT: White is your best friend here. There is nothing more fresh then denim and white- any time of the year! You would already have these things in your wardrobe too- a white shoes and white tee is all you need. Boom, you're a 90s heart throb :-)
