Barcelona - Where To Stay
Barcelona. This city vibrates on a level of excitement that is impossible to not get caught up in. When you arrive in Barcelona, you can't help but being caught up in the Spanish buzz. There is so much to do and see, it is a hard place to relax- but you wouldn't want it any other way. The summer days are long, hot and beautiful so you want somewhere comfy to retire to at the end of the day, night (or early hours of the morning).
We opted to stay in the Eixample neighbourhood over the more touristy parts of La Rambla. The streets are more spacious and a little less hectic and is still so central to all parts of Barcelona. Plus the streets are lined with great shopping and beautiful buildings. You're frequently strolling past those iconic Gaudi buildings.
Hotel Praktik Rambla is our recommendation for accomodation- its very reasonably priced, the rooms are new and stylish, there are delicious pastries and coffee available to kick start your day, its smack bang in the middle of Barcelona (without being in the most touristy parts of town) and the building is beautiful- you'll love walking through the historic hallways and out onto the magnificent outdoor terrace.
