Bordeaux - Wine Tours
Being one of the world's most famous wine regions, its so hard to decide which winery to visit and which wine tour to book. While its easy to find tour companies, its hard to know which is a good one.
While I'm not usually one to join a tour (I ordinarily prefer to arrange my own travel), its best to leave it to the experts as unlike the wine regions of Australia, you do need to make reservations and book your visit. Plus the tour guides are experts in explaining the magical region.
Thanks so the delightful staff at La Tresne, we were recommended to Vin Valet. And boy am I glad that we found these guys!
All easily organised over email with the ever so gentlemanly Leagh, he put together a private itinerary that was tailor made to our interests. So rather then being on a tour where half of the itinerary interested us, this was custom made for us. Massive time saver!
Our tour involved being collected in a private car from our hotel and guided for the day with a sommelier who knows everything there is to know about the glorious wine region.
We were also very lucky to have Amie Beaton with us for the day who is the loveliest and most talented vacation photographer! So you don't need to worry about looking at the day through your camera, she will capture every moment and will leave you with wonderful pictures of your day.
We visited the most incredible wineries and also attended a wine blending workshop where we custom made our very own bottles of vino to take home with us!
